The blower did clog less (only twice in 2 hours of blowing), but range was virtually identical to the plastic impeller. That said, I did NOT notice any improvement in range. We only had 3 inches of snow, and it was quite sticky. FWIW, I just moved snow today with the steel impeller for the first time.
